Date: 20th – 25th April 2009
Participants: Bible Lecturers in IMBISA Major Seminaries (1/seminary), National Biblical Apostolate Coordinators (1/country), Bishops in charge of Seminaries in IMBISA (1/Bishops’ Conference)
Objectives: 1. Main objective: To make Biblical Apostolate part and parcel of Biblical Formation in IMBISA region Major Seminaries and other formation houses 2. Secondary objectives: a) Collaboration between Bible Lecturers or Scholars and the Biblical Apostolate Promoters and Coordinators; b) Build a bridge between the Academic reading of the Bible and the Pastoral readings of it.

- INTERSEMINARY WORKSHOP IN UGANDA
Theme: “Biblical Apostolate and Lectio Divina”
Venue: Kampala, Uganda
Date: 25th – 26th May 2009
Participants: Formators in Uganda Seminaries
Objectives: To introduce the formators in Biblical Apostolate and Lectio Divina relevance in Priestly Formation.

Theme: “Introduction to Biblical Apostolate”
Venue: Bangui (Central Africa Republic)
Date: 20th – 25th June 2009
Participants: Bishops Members of Central Africa Episcopal Conference (CECA)
Objectives: To inform the Bishops about the Apostolate of the Bible for more commitment and support from them.

- WORKSHOP FOR SUB-SAHARAN STUDENTS IN TUNISIA
Theme: “Catechetical Initiation to the Bible”
Venue: Pastoral Centre, Tunis Diocese
Date: 4th – 11th July 2009
Participants: About 150 Sub-Saharan African Students members under the umbrella of the Catholic Chaplaincy in Tunisia.
Objectives: The students will be able after going through the ad hoc textbook to have a basic knowledge of the Bible within the Catholic Tradition. They will be able too to nourish their faith and Christian life with the Word of God; to give account of their Catholic faith (cf. 1P 3,15) wherever they are.

- WORKSHOP FOR AMECEA BIBLICAL APOSTOLATE COORDINATORS
Theme: “Know Your Job” – A Programme for BA Coordinators in Africa
Venue: Kampala (Uganda)
Date: 5th – 10th July 2009
Participants: Bishops in charge of BA, Regional, National and Provincial Coordinators of Eastern Africa
Objectives: 1. Training of the Coordinators; 2. Coordinators will be able to organize BA activities in his/her region/country, focusing on coordinating activities – They will also be capable of administrative and networking relationship with the coordinators at the levels of the Church in Africa.

- WORKSHOP FOR ANGLOPHONE WEST AFRICA
Theme: “Biblical Apostolate through Catechesis”
Venue: Freetown (Sierra Leone)
Date: 17th – 25th September 2009
The participants: Bishops in charge of the Catechetical Commissions - Priests, Religious, men and women, or lay persons in charge of the Catechesis in AECAWA countries – BA National and Provincial Coordinators – Diocesan Coordinators (Liberia and Sierra Leone).
Objectives: The expected results are:
- Catechism teaching will also become a means of making the Word of God known, loved and lived, with a direct contact with the Bible
- The catechists will be better equipped for their work and will be aware of the Biblical Apostolate dimension of their ministry

Theme: “Know Your Job” – A Programme for BA Coordinators in Africa
Venue: Cameroon

Participants: Bishops in charge of BA, Regional, National and Provincial Coordinators of the region (Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Chad, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea).
