In July 2009, a training workshop was organised for Biblical Apostolate coordinators in AMECEA region.

During the said workshop, the delegate from Ethiopia invited the Director of BICAM to visit his country to help them in Bible Apostolate.

The Director honoured the invitation and paid an official visit to the country.

The purpose of the visit was to “promote the Bible and seek area of Collaboration with BICAM: then how BICAM can help better coordinate and organize, or even start something in this area of apostolate” The main activities during the visit were meetings and sharing with people involved in Biblical Apostolate in Addis Ababa.

The Director was led by Fr. Eyob Jemaneh, Pastoral Coordinator of the Archdiocese of Addis Ababa.  He had the opportunity to meet the facilitators Bible Correspondence Course (BCC), and the Author of Bible Correspondence Course Lessons.

He also visited the Ethiopian Catholic Secretariat, the Addis Catholic Secretariat and the Bible Society of Ethiopia.
