*19 – 29 August 2009:
The Liloba centre, a pastoral biblical centre, organized the fourth edition course of Dei Verbum which brought together 29 participants, the largest group since its insertion. Among the participants were 12 religious sisters from five congregations, 5 priests from five dioceses, a brother, two seminarians and 9 lay persons. A religious sister and two lay persons came from Alindao diocese in Central Africa Republic.
The participants left well equipped with the idea that biblical apostolate will be a pastoral priority. With its three major parts- in-depth course of the Holy Scripture, internalization courses, the session based on the communication of the Word-, the course brought them an enthusiasm for the Word of God.
The different themes treated gave them the working tools at the parish or in their religious communities. They confirmed their commitment by designing an action plan which is a concrete project to be achieved. Bishop Dominique Bulamatari, auxiliary bishop of the Archdiocese of Kinshasa, solemnized the closing ceremony by Eucharist celebration.
He presented certificate of participation to each and everyone. The participants greatly appreciated the cordiality that prevailed during the course.
This is the proof that the Word of God can unite all nations from every origin. |
